Origin: Estate of Barberino Val d'Elsa - from vineyards in the Chianti Classico area
Soil: Hilly, stony, with clay
Vines: Sangiovese 95%, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon 5%
Harvest: Normally between the 3rd decade of September and the beginning of October
Vinification: Seven days at the temperature of 28/30° C followed by maceration for 15 days
Ageing: 5 months in small barrels of Slavonian oak
Bottling: Month of June following the harvest
Refining: 2 months in bottle
Colour: Bright ruby red
Bouquet: Intense, with hints of cherry
Taste: Full bodied, round, long lasting
